LONGi has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party. And they aren't even trying to hide it!
From an internal LONGi communist party committee, to top-level leadership members, to economic support of companies banned by the Biden Administration for Human Rights abuses, LONGi brazenly works hand in hand with the CCP.
"The CCP Committee of LONGi Green Energy Technology was recently inaugurated in December 2020 at the company’s headquarters at the Xi’an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base. On the afternoon of December 21, 2020, the Committee of Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. of the Communist Party of China held the first party members meeting and the unveiling ceremony of the establishment of the party committee. The party members conference had a main venue and two branch venues. 115 party members from 8 party branches participated in the meeting.
LONGi leadership, including its President, Li Zhenguo, attended the opening ceremony for the committee, meeting there with a number of CCP representatives... These representatives expressed their continued support for LONGi’s development goals and party building work."
According to his own corporate profile, the Chairman of LONGi Group, Zhong Baoshen, also serves as a chairman for the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and vice chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, a position for which he was nominated by the Communist Party Committee.
These bureaucratic organizations fall within the Chinese Communist Party's United Front Work Department.
LONGi Vice President Wenxue Li proudly boasts in his corporate profile that he serves as the "party secretary of LONGi Green Energy," a position for which he develops plans for party building work within the company's own CCP Committee, and helping LONGi to signal their support to the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act is part of the U.S. pushback against Beijing's treatment of the China's Uyghur Muslim minority, which Washington has labeled genocide.
The US government has banned imports of solar products from three companies in China’s Xinjiang region due to alleged forced labour, [including] Xinjiang Daqo New Energy...
In November 2021, US Customs and Border Protection seized a shipment from LONGi Green Energy Technology, under a law prohibiting foreign imports manufactured using forced labor.
Under the supply agreement with LONGi, Daqo New Energy's subsidiary Inner Mongilia Daqo will provide LONGi with a total amount of 251,280 MT high-purity mono-grade polysilicon from May 2023 to December 2027.
The leadership of impending Pataskala resident LONGi brazenly boasts of their positions and connections with the Chinese Communist Party, and have established within the company itself a sect of communist party indoctrination.
And, what's more, LONGi has committed itself through 2027 to buying materials sourced by companies identified by the U.S. Administration as using forced labor, thus banned from import into the United States.
And this company is setting up shop in an Ohio city near you!
